1st volume is slated for release in summer 2026; series is inspiring upcoming live-action adaptation on Disney+

Inklore, an imprint of Random House Publishing Group, announced on Wednesday it has acquired the world English-language print rights for the webtoon Delusion. The deal was arranged by Chiara Tognetti at Chiara Tognetti Rights Agency on behalf of Story Company Co., with Clara Heathcock at Inklore UK and Rebecca Taylor at Inklore US brokering the agreement.

The first volume is slated to ship in summer 2026.

Delusion was created by Hongjacga and serialized initially in Korea from 2019 to 2020, followed by a U.S. release in 2021. Set during the early 20th century under Japanese colonial rule in Korea, the story centers on the relationship between a mysterious vampire woman and an unknown painter.

WEBTOON describes the plot as a suspenseful historical romance.

The series is getting a live-action adaptation that will stream on Disney+. Suzy will play the enigmatic woman, while Sun-ho Kim will portray the painter.

The original webtoon is available to read in English on the WEBTOON platform.
