Manga Up! Global Adds Why She Loves Scum Manga

Rui Ikeda's manga launched in March 2024

Square Enix's Manga UP! Global service released Rui Ikeda's Why She Loves Scum (Kanojo ga Kuzu o Aisuru Wake wa) manga in English on Tuesday.

Manga UP! describes its story:

Hiro is broke, jobless, and unfaithful—and Mi is absolutely smitten with him! After all, he didn't dump her within a week, doesn't stand her up on dates, and even remembers her name. With the bar on the floor, Hiro can't bring himself to be full-on scum like he usually is, much to his own confusion. A romcom about a guy who flip-flops between being sweet and scummy, and the girlfriend who adores him anyway!

Ikeda launched the manga on X (formerly Twitter) in March 2024. The manga then began serialization on Gangan pixiv in November 2024. Square Enix shipped its second compiled volume on May 22.

The manga ranked at #6 in the Web Manga category of the Next Manga Awards 2024.
