Transformers, G.I. Joe Animated Series' Writer Ron Friedman Dies

Friedman wrote for numerous animated series, films, U.S. television shows

Entertainment news website Variety reported on Monday that writer Ron Friedman died from cardiopulmonary arrest at Motion Picture and Television Fund in Los Angeles, CA on September 15. He was 93.

Friedman was born on August 1, 1932. He got a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.

Friedman wrote scripts for animated series and films such as The Transformers: The Movie, Transformers: The Animated Movie, G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, and Iron Man. He was a writer for numerous U.S. television shows including Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Happy Days, Gilligan's Island, The Andy Griffith Show, The Odd Couple, Fantasy Island, and Get Smart.
