Who Made Me a Princess Webtoon Gets Animated Adaptation Debuting in Japan on September 28, Japanese Dub Cast Revealed

The webtoon Who Made Me a Princess (Japanese version title: Aru Hi, Ohime-sama ni Natteshimatta Ken ni Tsuite) is officially receiving an animated television adaptation. Produced by Chinese streaming platform iQIYI, the series will premiere streaming in Japan on September 28, followed by a nationwide TV broadcast beginning October 1.
Based on the globally popular webtoon written by Plutus and drawn by Spoon, the series has surpassed 200 million views online and sold over 2.2 million copies in print (including digital editions). It also ranked at #2 on AnimeJapan's 2022 "Manga We Want To See Animated" poll and at #7 on the 2023 ranking.
The Japanese dub cast includes:
Sumire Morohoshi as Athanasia, the princess protagonist reborn into a tragic royal fate
Tomoaki Maeno as Claude, the cold and merciless emperor and Athanasia's father
Ryōhei Kimura as Felix, the cheerful and dashing knight
Nobuhiko Okamoto as Lucas, the mysterious magician
Shūichirō Umeda as Ijekiel, the kind and talented noble heir
Manaka Iwami as Jennette, the gentle girl tied to Athanasia's destiny
The webtoon follows Athanasia, a modern woman who suddenly wakes up in the body of a princess destined to be executed from a romance novel she once read. Determined to survive, she must navigate palace intrigue, win over her tyrant father Claude, and carve out a new future.
Fans can read the official English version of the webtoon on TappyToon and Tapas. Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the series in print.
